Piano Lessons
Piano is a very special instrument because it provides access to the entire spectrum of sound and puts it in your fingertips. I work as a professional pianist and synth player in the area, and it’s a lot of fun.
I began playing piano when I was very young, casually playing whatever videogame music I heard by ear. I didn’t start taking it seriously until I got to college and started taking lessons and classes. At that point I was mostly playing classical piano.
In my senior year of college, I began playing a lot of rock piano, and then it became my job six days a week during my time in graduate school. Later on I began taking jazz piano lessons and now I feel confident playing any style.
I think my journey as a pianist is interesting because for many years I was a hobbyist with no chops, but over time, my relationship with the instrument changed as it’s now a teaching tool, composition tool, and artistic medium. I think every stage of my piano playing was valid and fulfilling, however.
So whatever you want to accomplish with piano, I can help you to do it!
